Role
UI/UX Designer
Project
I created the concept design for mobile app in Boulder Digital Arts UX/UI Course. The process included user research and testing, persona development, user flows, wireframes, low fidelity and high fidelity prototyping.
Process
Aesthete was designed to solve for the lack of virtual museum experiences - particularly in a time of social distancing. Users can navigate virtual tours of exhibits and performances, bookmarking those they find interesting and purchasing tickets to those which they choose to experience in person.
Based on competitive analysis and user research, I defined two persona types for Aesthete.
A card sort and user testing determined the specific features included on the exhibit cards, as well as the icons for these features. Visual styles in the high fidelity prototype are implemented from the Material Design system, including cards, elevations, buttons, and icons.
Aesthete provides a central hub for artists and art enthusiasts alike to explore the landscape of museums and art anywhere in the world without the physical constraints.
Results
This project provided a concept for a virtual art exhibit option available in a pandemic era. Users can browse current, upcoming, and popular art exhibits and events in the area. They can navigate in a virtual reality art exhibit experience from the comfort of their home, or book tickets for the exhibit in person if they would like.
